Former Kaizer Chiefs PRO Louis 'Sprinter' Tshakoane has weighed in on why the standards at the club have dropped over the years and what the solution is.

Tshakoane was was a famous PRO for Amakhosi during their successful years in the 80s and 90s and says the current crop don't have a strong desire to play overseas, resulting in a drop of standards.

The flamboyant former Chiefs official insists that the club needs to copy Mamelodi Sundowns to return to its glory days and questioned the players recruited by Amakhosi.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "'Kaizer Chiefs Is The Mother And The Flag Of The Nation'" story:

"The Hawks should have arrested you during this interview because you were not being truthful and must have perjury added to the list of charges," says says Shikabala.

"Kaizer Chiefs can never in no way be a yard stick of South African Soccer. Chiefs never paid for these quality players you claim they bought.

"Why do you think they are not willing to break the bank for quality players? because it is not in their DNA to spent money on quality players. Look at history the best players were from their development when it used to work," says Fela.

"Well put PRO. Who ever is scouting for Chiefs is very poor. Having dmsaid that, I tend to differ with who to copy. Not Sundowns BUT the late Mr. Ewert Nene, may his soul rest in eternal peace.

"Chiefs have never weakened the opposition and did not deliberately block players from joining a particular club," says Soccer Fanatic.

"Where is Chiefs flying the flag? Naturena??? Mxm... please. Only one team is flying the National flag," says rory.IKITS

"Referees were the mother of our Nation my elder," says Vha Musanda Cosmos na Bucs.

"Times have changed Sprinter, those glory days were in the past, not now," says @ThizaK.

Following Neo Maema's sending off in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-final against Wydad Casablanca last Saturday, SL looked at which players could replace the in-form midfielder for this weekend's second leg.

Maema has been a regular feature in Sundowns' Champions League starting line-ups, stating eight of Sundowns last eleven games in the competition.

Cassius Mailula, Gaston Sirino, Surprise Ralani and Sphelele Mkhulise are among the Downs stars who are tipped to replace Maema for this weekend's crunch clash.

Here's how the readers responded to the "Maema Out! Sundowns' Options In Key Position CAFCL Semi-Final" story:

"A cheese for a cheese person, we will progress guys, don't worry but good luck Ka Bo Yellow, sorry haters," says Calendar.

"Both Mkhulise and Sirino are good. I would probably start with Sirino!!" says Skyvodka.

"The old Gaston is back," says Shikabala.

"We have enough in the arsenal to win and go to the final," says Dominate-downs.
