Following their 1-0 loss to Cape Town City in the Nedbank Cup on Wednesday evening, Orlando Pirates coach Milutin "Micho" Sredojevic admitted that his side lost concentration in the game, costing them a place in the quarter-finals.
Speaking to SuperSport after the match, Micho also apologised to the Bucs faithful, stating that winning and progressing to the next stage of the competition was the ultimate goal, but it wasn't to be. The Serbian coach admitted that, although the effort from his players was there, it wasn't good enough to see them through to the next round.
Supporters Club members and a few Bucs fans are seemingly in full support of Micho, with some sharing words of encouragement for Soweto giants' coach.
"We lost to a good team and it's no one's fault, my coach. Let's focus on the league now and move on. Losing is part of the game, losing means we were trying, but our opponents were more powerful than us. Our hearts are at peace, Micho. Forget about the game, we are out of the competition and that is that." – The Ghost himself
"We lost to a good team, coach, and there is no need to apologise. We understand losing is part of the game. We lost while trying, now we will put our focus back on the league." – MAKHUBELA
"It's ok, my coach, we understand. The fact is we can't win all our games so better luck next time." – chiefs is useless
"No worries, coach... we take a loss. We tried and showed that we wanted a win but it wasn't meant to be. Rather lose it now than in the final." – Shillos10
"Hard luck, coach. There is always tomorrow in life, just make sure that you get it right." – Bucs nation
