With the upcoming Soweto Derby being the center of attention, Supporters Club continues to contact its members and followers of the beautiful game to get their views on this much-anticipated occasion.
Sylvester Nkosi, a loyal Chiefs supporter, spoke to Supporters Club about how he would like to see goals being scored at FNB Stadium, and a win for either side after so many draws in recent years between the two giants of Soweto.
SC: Khosi! It's on this coming Saturday! Are you feeling nervous?
Sylvester: I really don't want to dwell much on the Soweto Derby because the annoying thing about it is that it will end with a draw. You know, it has got to a point where it doesn't really matter who wins, can we just get goals and a win, please! Another boring thing about Chiefs and Pirates is that, when the title race gets tough, they always rely on other teams for favours. Look now, both clubs will be hoping for a draw when Sundowns play AmaZulu this coming Friday. Honestly, for me, the derby is a complete bore. Also, as a Chiefs supporter, I am worried about Pirates' Justin Shonga, that cop is on fire! Hopefully we will be able to stop him. I hope the new players at Chiefs will not get stage fright, playing at a packed FNB Stadium must be nerve-wrecking. I just hope they will keep calm and do well.
Would you say the Soweto Derby has lost its touch considering the draws in recent years?
