Mamelodi Sundowns travelled to Rwanda for the first leg of their CAF Champions League tie against Rayon Sports on Wednesday evening, where they played to a goalless draw.
Prior to the encounter, 10 minutes into Masandawana's training session on Tuesday evening, the lights were switched off. These unforeseen circumstances forced the South African team to call off their practice session.
Downs coach Pitso Mosimane has since commented on the situation, saying that, while he is not making excuses, he believes they should have been given more time to commence with their training session. The CAF Champions League-winning coach further emphasised how the situation would not be fair if tables were turned.
Although our members are largely siding with coach Pitso on this one, some also believe that it is un-African to ill-treat visitors who visit our country.
