The final Bafana squad to face Liberia in back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers has been confirmed, with Hugo Broos trimming his 35-man preliminary squad to just 23 players.
Players such as Khuliso Mudau, Khanyisa Mayo and Kobamelo Kodisang were unlucky to miss out with breakout stars Cassius Mailula and Monnapule Saleng adding to Bafana's strong attack.
Here's how the readers reacted to the final 23 players selected in the "Confirmed: Final Bafana Bafana Squad To Face Liberia" story:
"YELLOW NATION BAFANA BAFANA!" wrote maxncane who added:
"It's almost 40% Bafana Bafaba made up of Mamelodi Sundowns. Deservedly so! Sundowns is a benchmark and trendsetters in African football - a title that has been held by Al Ahly of Egypt over 20 years.
"Irvin Khoza is old, tired, lost passion for Pirates, put PSL Chairmanship above Pirates, etc. and egos, power hungry, poor leadership, etc. from Mbhele and Screamer are what kills Pirates.
"Kaizer Chief is killed by spaza shop, entitlement, small family business mentality. How a global brand can be reduced to this level?" he concluded.
"Local, it's only Sundowns and Pirates players never mind Veli [Mothwa] as he is a goal keeper. Good selection coach no cows these time around," says Ghost1.
"But is this Coach serious by omitting Mudau? the best right back in the country? lets wait and see..." says pgyakeni.
"No right back is better than Mudau currently," says Shikabala who added: "Morena plays 2nd fiddle to Mudau at club level for a reason coach.

Kaizer Chiefs defender Njabulo Ngcobo could be one his way out of the club, despite his contract only expiring in 2024.
Ngcobo has struggled for regular game time at the Glamour Boys, only making 15 appearances last season, and just nine this term.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Ngcobo Headed Out The Chiefs Door" story:
"A talented gem but disrespects coaches," says pgyakeni.
"I think we will be making a big mistake by letting him go. We don't have enough central defenders. Mind you, Edmilson is not a central defender. Dube is leaving and now Njabulo? I don't think that's a good decision," says mlekeleli.
"Member, this building will take forever to gather shape, let alone to be completed. How do you build by using youngsters only?
"Downs on Tuesday threw in a 16-year-old to play with Themba Zwane and Bradley Ralani. How are old are those two? They still have Mweene and Onyango in their books. Pirates signed Makhaula and Mabena. Don't be surprised if they win the Nedbank cup or atleast reach the finals.
"Nothing beats the combination of youth and experience," says gsithole in response to mlekeleli's comment.
