Galaxy are flirting with relegation in the Premiership after their goalless draw with Kaizer Chiefs the last time out left them lying tenth, two points above the relegation zone.
The Rockets will be bidding to replicate their exploits after winning the tournament in 2019 while they were in the second-tier, although they have been struggling to go deep in the tournament since then after they were eliminated in the last 16 by Baroka on penalties last season.
Amavarara, meanwhile, are making a return after they last featured in 2020 and reached the last 16 before their journey was ended by Black Leopards, who won 2-0.
Amavarara are currently top of the ABC Motsepe League Eastern Cape standings in Stream A, with a six-point cushion after 12 rounds of matches.
