Richards Bay lost their fourth consecutive game after narrowly going down 1-0 against Kaizer Chiefs just over two weeks ago.
The Natal Rich Boyz have since slipped down to sixth on the table with 31 points, six points behind a CAF Confederation Cup spot held by Orlando Pirates.
Galaxy, meanwhile, saw their five game unbeaten run in all competitions come to an end after they were humiliated 6-3 by Stellenbosch in the Nedbank Cup round of 16 last weekend.
The Rockets were last in action in the league when they played to a goalless draw against relegation-threatened Marumo Gallants.
Sead Ramovic's charges find themselves in 12th position on the log, six points clear of the relegation zone.
The sides could not be separated in the first round after playing to a goalless draw.
