Brandon Truter's charges were involved in Nedbank Cup action over the weekend as they defeated Cape Town Spurs to secure their spot in the quarter-finals.
The league has not been kind to Sekhukhune recently, having only won one of the last five matches, which also includes four losses.
The dip in form has Sekhukhune fall to 11th spot on the league table, although they only sit one point adrift of the top eight.
Chippa began life under interim coach Kurt Lentjies with defeat to AmaZulu a couple weeks ago, before they defeated Mpheni Home Defenders in the Nedbank Cup over the weekend.
The Chilli Boys enter this afternoon's encounter winless in their last 11 matches in the league, including three successive losses before their cup win.
