Tinkler's men were action two weeks ago when they defeated Maritzburg United 2-1 at the Harry Gwala Stadium, extending their winning run to three matches.

The Citizens enter the clash in fifth position on the league standings, but a win this evening will take the side up to third spot.

City will come up against a Gallants side desperate to get maximum points in their bid to retain their top-flight status with eight games to go.

The Limpopo outfit have been involved with CAF Confederation Cup action recently, but have only won one of their last five league encounters, which included a goalless draw against TS Galaxy two weeks ago.

Gallants sit bottom of the table as things stand and a will see the side overtake Maritzburg into the 15th position ahead of the weekend's action.

The men from Limpopo can take encouragement from the fact that they defeated City earlier this season, which is just one of three wins in the league this campaign.
