Orlando Pirates defender Tshepo Gumede has spoken about fulfilling his dream to play for his boyhood club and taking part in a Soweto Derby.
Moloi: It's Unfortunate That Kermit Won't Play
The 24-year-old, who was born in Soweto and grew up supporting the Buccaneers, told the Siya crew about his dream to play in the historic match between the two teams and how he now hopes to get a positive result.
"Yes, it's a dream come true and I want to start my derby dream with a win over Chiefs," he said.
"As a player and as a team we are ready for three points today."
The SuperSport United academy graduate, who joined Pirates from Platinum Stars last year, went on to say that his team will have more motivation to claim victory today even if Chiefs are looking to redeem themselves after their loss in the reverse fixture.
"We know we beat them in the first round and they will come hard on us but we are well prepared for them. We want the three points more than they do if you look at the league log," he concluded.
Tinkler: There Are Still Few Hours Left
