When Orlando Pirates host Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday afternoon, there are six players who will be hoping to finally get a taste of the Soweto Derby.
It's mostly players who have recently joined the two clubs at the start of the current season and were not considered when two sides met in November for the first round of their DStv Premiership clash at FNB Stadium.
Some, like goalkeeper Brandon Petersen, have made a cameo appearance in the Carling Black Label Cup, the pre-season fixtures between Pirates and Amakhosi, but having now took on the jersey as the Chiefs No.1, this will be his first official start.
Stuart Baxter has spoken glowingly of Petersen, who has stiff competition from veteran Itumeleng Khune, Daniel Akpeyi and Bruce Bvuma.
For Pirates, midfielder Goodman Mosele was no doubt going to start because of his consistency, but he is now suspended and his Soweto Derby debut has to wait.
The Buccaneers welcome Chiefs to Orlando Stadium at 3.30pm on Saturday.
