Pirates and Chiefs sit in second and third place in the Absa Premiership going into Saturday's game, with both teams knowing that a defeat against their biggest rivals could knock them out of the title race.
The Soweto giants are still four and five points behind league leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns, and a victory for either side would give their trophy aspirations a real boost.

With both teams having had a busy transfer window last month as they sought to bolster their squads, Milutin Sredojevic and Steve Komphela have numerous players who could witness the derby up close for the first time.
For the Buccaneers, they have players such as Jackson Mabokgwane, Marshall Munetsi, and Lyle Foster who have yet to face off against the Amakhosi during their time at Pirates, with new signings, Augustine Mulenga, Xola Mlambo and Justin Shonga hoping to have a chance on Saturday.

At Chiefs, they have the likes of Leonardo Castro and Siphelele Ntshangase who were signed in January that could potentially make their first venture onto the field in South Africa's biggest game, while Teenage Hadebe, Bhongo Jayiya and Dumisani Zuma all missed the first two games due to absence or injury.
