As Kaizer Chiefs grapple with why the results have not been forthcoming in recent matches, a blow in the spine of the team will remain a concern ahead of the Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates.
Chiefs won three consecutive games with goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune in goal but the veteran shot-stopper limped off the pitch in their 3-1 thrashing of Stellenbosch in the first half with an injury.

Amakhosi head coach allayed fears afterwards that it was not a serious injury and Khune missed the next game against Chippa United, as the Glamour Boys' winning streak was ended in his absence in a 2-1 loss, with Brandon Petersen in goal.
The Chiefs skipper returned to the line-up against TS Galaxy but was pulled off during the warm up after experiencing discomfort. Bruce Bvuma stepped in goal, as Petersen was on paternity leave and Amakhosi conceded two goals in a 2-2 draw with the Rockets.
Chiefs will be playing their last competitive game before the FIFA World Cup break and with Petersen and Bvuma looking shaky in goal when given a chance, will they risk Khune against Pirates?
Another spanner in the works for Amakhosi is the injury concerns of striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana. Bimenyimana was also an injury casualty in Chiefs' loss against Chippa and missed the game against TS Galaxy.
The Burundian returned to the team against AmaZulu in the MTN8 but he also looked uncomfortable and was eventually replaced early in the second stanza.
The two key players in Chiefs' spine could influence their performance against Pirates and how the club manages them will be important.

The Glamour Boys are yet to win since the pair picked up niggling injuries and Zwane did not want to reveal whether they are available or not for the Soweto Derby.
"At the moment, we're looking at it in terms of profiling the opposition, as to how we can approach this game, because we're playing against a team that is doing very well," Zwane said in a pre-match press conference.
"Everyone we came into this week after the game over the weekend with a lot of knocks here and there and so we're managing players, we'll see who is available for the game and who is not available.
"By tomorrow (Friday) we'll get the final report from our medical team," he added.
