After netting a brace in his first Soweto Derby, Keagan Dolly has joined an elite group of players who have achieved this feat in previous Premiership matches.
Dolly scored a second half brace for Amakhosi, who sealed a 2-1 victory over their rivals at FNB Stadium on Saturday. The left-footed winger calmly slotted home the opener early in the second half after he was set up by teammate Khama Billiat and then he held his nerve to convert a spot kick in stoppage time to seal all three points for Stuart Baxter's side.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns player is in good company with players such as Bafana Bafana legend Benni McCarthy, Siyabonga Nomvethe and the late Thabang Lebese and Lesley Manyathela.
Lebese bagged a brace for Amakhosi in a 2-1 victory in 1998/99. The following season, Nomvethe was on target twice in a 2-2 draw with the Buccaneers.
Pirates' Manyathela beat Amakhosi shot stopper Brian Baloyi twice during the 2001/02 campaign in a 3-0 win over their rivals.
