Orlando Pirates' first team coach Mandla Ncikazi has given an insight on how his side plans to fend off the potent Kaizer Chiefs attack which is spearheaded by an in-form Keagan Dolly.
Earlier this week, Stellenbosch FC coach Steve Barker singled out the threat posed by the Chiefs number 10 and revealed that his side devised a special plan to stop Dolly's attacking threat, which worked as the Western Cape outfit managed to grab a vital 1-0 win over Amakhosi, while keeping Dolly quiet.
Now, Pirates who are next on the agenda in the Soweto Derby, have revealed whether they have devised a similar plan to nullify the Amakhosi talisman along with the likes of Khama Billiat and Bernard Parker.
"We have to devise a plan, whether it works or not, we hope that it works," Ncikazi told journalists at the Soweto Derby press conference.
"But when you look at Kaizer Chiefs and you look at individuals, you are going to lose the plot.
"[Keagan] Dolly is the best player, but there are many more at Kaizer Chiefs. We have to look at them holistically as the attack. We will try and stop them from their strengths, adapt to whatever they are doing and try and impose our game. When we have the ball, try take care of the ball better because they can hurt you if you lose the ball carelessly, especially in areas where they want to win the ball.
"So, the plan, yes. I hope we have a good plan and that it works on matchday," he explained.
Meanwhile, Chiefs have been dealt a massive blow going into the clash with coach Stuart Baxter revealing that defender Sifiso Hlanti has been ruled out for six months after rupturing his Achilles tendon.
