Teams: Kaizer Chiefs v Orlando Pirates
Date: 21 March 2021
Venue: FNB Stadium
Kaizer Chiefs will meet with arch-rivals Orlando Pirates for the 100th league Soweto derby when they clash on Sunday afternoon at FNB Stadium.
The match will get underway at 15h00.
After continental action for both sides, switching the focus to the domestic league, Amakhosi will be looking to snap out of a six-game winless run after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Maritzburg United almost two weeks ago.
As a result, Gavin Hunt's charges dropped down to 11th on the log, six points away from the top eight with two games in hand.
Chiefs have confirmed that they will be without Leonardo Castro, Lebogang Manyama, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Kearyn Baccus, Itumeleng Khune, Dumisani Zuma and Khama Billiat for the clash.
In contrast, Pirates are enjoying a good run having won three of their last four matches in the league, the last of which was a 3-0 thrashing of Chippa United two weeks ago.
Josef Zinnbauer's troops will be looking to stay in contention for the title, as they sit four points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, who have three games in hand.
The Buccaneers have beaten Chiefs three times this season, twice in the MTN8 semi-finals over two legs, with an aggregate score of 5-0 before they claimed a 2-1 victory in the first-round league clash in January.
