Former Chiefs and Pirates midfielder, Stanton 'Stiga' Fredericks, has looked at some of the key battles that could tip the Derby.
Thabo Qalinge vs. Daniel Cardoso
"Very interesting battle! Qalinge is coming into form and finally starting to fulfil the potential that was always imminent when Pirates first bought him. His speed is his strength. Of late, it seems like he's finding himself in good scoring positions. Same predicament as above… if Qalinge does go inside, is Cardoso going to be covered? A player of Qalinge's calibre is, like Shabba, going to get past you at least once or twice in a game. As a defensive unit, is Kaizer Chiefs going to be able to deal with their pace? If it's going to be Thembinkosi Lorch on the other side or Rakhale or whoever…," said Fredericks.
