SuperSport United captain Ronwen Williams said his side will do everything in their power to prevent Mamelodi Sundowns from claiming the title against them on Wednesday.
The stage is perfectly set for the Brazilians to bounce back from their painful CAF Champions League exit, needing just one more win to claim their fourth consecutive league title, something that could happen against their Tshwane rivals at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
However, SuperSport, who haven't played a match in two weeks are hellbent on spoiling the party and delaying the celebrations - at least for one more match.
Speaking to the media ahead of the game, SuperSport captain Williams, who recently made a return from injury, says he expects an entertaining game against their cross-town rivals in the highly anticipated encounter.
"Coming to Sundowns, it's always a nice game against them, we enjoy playing against our rivals and it's always a game of entertainment, so we are looking forward to it," Williams told SuperSport's media department.
"Obviously, they come off a disappointing result in their last two games but, that's a different ball game. They would obviously want to wrap up the league, but we don't want to allow that – not against us. So, we've got our own ambitions of where we want to end, we know what we have to do, we know how to beat them, we've done it before. It's going to be a good one, the guys are looking forward to it," he added.
The match is scheduled for Wednesday at 17:00.
