Useful facts: The Citizens come into this game in great form, with Benni McCarthy's team having won both of their competitive fixtures to date this season, including last Friday's win over champions Bidvest Wits, showing that they mean business. Stars have been less fortunate, with a 2-0 loss against Maritzburg United. However, Eric Tinkler's men did suffer a loss on the weekend, while Chiefs had to settle for a draw against Bloemfontein Celtic. In their last 22 league meetings, SuperSport have won nine, while Chiefs have won just eight of those, last winning in February 2016.

The Italians are also undefeated in their last 12 Europa League games and have kept a clean sheet in the last three of those.
