Manchester City will host Tottenham on Saturday, December 16. The Citizens recorded their 15th win of the season this week as they secured a 4-0 win against Swansea. Spurs also won their midweek fixture, so this promises to be a tough battle between these two. Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping to end City's dominance.

Arsenal will go head-to-head against Newcastle. The Gunners will be looking to get back to winning ways after failing to secure a win against West Ham United during the week. However, the away side will also be hoping to secure three points after losing 1-0 to Everton.

Chelsea will take on Southampton on Saturday, December 16. The Blues are in high spirits after their midweek victory against Huddersfield and will be looking to continue with their good form against a Southampton side that lost their midweek match.

Match of the Week

Manchester City v Tottenham Hotspur (English Premier League)

League Rankings: Man City 1st Spurs 6th

Useful facts: Fresh from a win in one of the world's biggest derbies last weekend, Manchester City enter the next high-profile clash. Pep Guardiola's side is seemingly running away with the league title, as they occupy top spot with a comfortable 11-point lead over cross-town rivals Man United after ending the Red Devils' unbeaten 40-game home record. City will look to continue to extend their run when they welcome inconsistent Spurs, who are picking up form, having thrashed Stoke City 5-1 last Saturday. Harry Kane netted twice to earn the Lilywhites three crucial points. City have claimed five victories, while Mauricio Pochettino's side has won four of their last 10 meetings.

Arsenal v Newcastle (English Premier League)

League Rankings: Arsenal 5th Newcastle 16th

Useful facts: Arsene Wenger's side dropped 17 points behind log leaders Manchester City after failing to beat Manchester City last Sunday. However, they will look to return to winning ways when they host struggling Newcastle. Placed 16th on the log standings, The Magpies will look to bring their A-game against Gunners as they seek to move away from the relegation zone. However, Newcastle haven't registered a win against Arsenal in their last 11 meetings, with Wenger's side claiming nine consecutive victories over them.

Chelsea v Southampton (English Premier League)

League Rankings: Chelsea 3rd Southampton 11th

Useful facts: After being stunned by West Ham United who beat them 1-0, the defending champions will look to do better when they host Southampton on Saturday afternoon. The Saints have struggled more than it was expected this season and have only won one of their seven away games so far. The Blues won their last three consecutive games against Southampton and will hope to add another three points in order not to drop further off the top.
