Orlando Pirates co-coach Mandla Ncikazi has revealed what he is hoping and praying for as the Buccaneers are set to take on Kaizer Chiefs in a crunch match.
Bucs come from a morale-boosting 2-1 victory in their match on Tuesday against Sekhukhune United, despite injury concerns.
Prior to the Sekhukhune match, Pirates have had three draws in the league as they struggled to pick up points during the month of October and are now aiming for back-to-back wins going into the Chiefs clash.
With the team having shifted focus to the eagerly-anticipated Soweto Derby, Ncikazi says he hopes that the victory against Sekhukhune would have done enough to give the team a good result against wounded Chiefs who lost their match against Stellenbosch FC on Tuesday.
"I'm happy that we won today (Tuesday) but we know with these types of matches there is no form or history behind. It depends on what happens on the day of the match. But I'm happy that we are confident a bit. We will play with a bit of confidence and belief. Like I said, these matches there's no form and there's no history. It will depend on what happens on the day of the match and I'm hoping and praying that Pirates play well and play with confidence and get a result against a very formidable side of Kaizer Chiefs," said Ncikazi, speaking to the media.
