Ahead of the biggest game of his career, Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Njabulo Blom has vowed that Amakhosi will give it their all to ensure they get their hands on the biggest prize in continental club football.
The Soweto giants are just two days away from arguably the biggest game in their history in the upcoming CAF Champions League final, to be played in Casablanca, Morocco, on Saturday. Pitso Mosimane's Al Ahly team currently stands Amakhosi's way of lifting the trophy and it will no doubt be a massive battle for the trophy on Saturday.
"I am so excited, but it was not easy. We didn't start very well in the group stages, because we won some games and lost some games. But as a team we told ourselves we will keep on going and grinding and working and keep on believing. Us being here in the final is our hard work as a team and it's God's grace. We have prepared well as a team and we will go there and give our best. We will try win the trophy, but we won't underestimate Al Ahly because we know that they are a very experienced team. They are a very good team," Blom told the Amakhosi media department.
"I feel like the technical team has done well in planning how we wil go out it in the game. We promise that we will go there and give our best. We promise that we will go there and represent Kaizer Chiefs and South Africa as a whole."
Blom said the competition has made him grow as a player, having featured regularly throughout.
"It added a lot of experience (for me). Going out to play in some other countries, you get to see how they do things and how dedicated they are. I feel it helps me as a young player and it makes me grow as an individual."
