Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has come up with a whole new approach in his squad selection ahead of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Belgian coach made it clear that he plans to rebuild the national side, dropping senior players and incorporating more youth in the squad.
Former player, Joseph Makhanya has expressed concern that South Africans are desperate for results and that the changes might be premature.
"He is a very brave coach to rebuild the team, even though I still feel it is not the right time for him to do so, especially as we are looking for results to qualify for the FIFA World Cup after failing to go to Afcon," Makhanya told the Siya crew.
"If we need results, I think sticking with well-tested players will help him because in football you can still introduce changes gradually without dismantling everything at once, because the reality of football is that we need senior players."
Bafana will face Ghana and Zimbabwe in the qualifiers and Dukuduku is worried that using these games as part of building new squad may be detrimental.
"Youngsters need to be guided, as we will be playing against heavyweights, Ghana and Zimbabwe, they won't be easy.
"As much as coach Hugo Broos seems brave but the reality is that we can't always talk about building. We need results and hopefully he will be given enough time to do so," he added.
