Kaizer Chiefs' trip to Maritzburg United this weekend is a lot harder than it looks, and winger Kgaogelo Sekgota has explained why.
The Glamour Boys return to action on Sunday following the international break as all DStv Premiership clubs begin a demanding league programme with fixtures crammed in before the Christmas recess.
"We rested a bit during the break, but we've been back at training for a number of days and fully focused on the next game," Sekgota is quoted on the Chiefs website.
The player, who has recently returned from injury and hopes Amakhosi build on from their Soweto Derby victory over Orlando Pirates before the short break, also said that Maritzburg have an asset in their coach Ernst Middendorp ahead of this fixture.
"We have been preparing for Maritzburg and are aware that their coach has some information about our team because he was here two seasons ago. Maritzburg will not be easy and they have not been an easy team to beat when they play at home," he explained.
"They also have also not had the greatest of starts so they are looking for maximum points. "They will want to start picking up points so they can move away from the bottom half and we are aware of it. We are also looking for the three points so we can move up the log table. It will be a tough game."
Chiefs are in sixth place on the table after 10 matches, while the Team of Choice are four spots below them and equally desperate for points.
