Historically speaking, Kaizer Chiefs have cemented themselves to be one of the biggest clubs in the country, perhaps even the continent. Their ever-growing fan base flock to the stadiums to watch their team perform. But in recent years, including the 2022/23 DStv Premiership season, the Glamour Boys seem to be missing their killer instinct. Poor decision-making, soft goals, and silly mistakes are the reasons behind their poor run of form which, unfortunately, doesn't look like it is coming to an end. Kaizer Chiefs have now dropped yet another three points to Sekhukhune United, who beat Chiefs for the second time this season and now, Amakhosi find themselves sitting in fourth position on the log.
A top four finish might not seem so bad, but Chiefs have also been known to play CAF football. As it stands, the club is five points behind their Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates, and the chances of them making it to a CAF competition are looking slim. Mzansi and the Khosi Nation have expressed their opinions on this matter, with some fans suggesting that Chiefs are not who they used to be and that they haven't a single chance to qualify for continental football.
On the latest episode of the Fan Reaction Show, fans express their concerns about Chiefs' performance this season and suggest that the CAF Champions League, and the CAF Confederation Cup, are too far out of reach for the Glamour Boys.
