Konami have announced that the PES 2021 season update will be released on 15 September 2020.

The developers recently confirmed the rumours that their annual football game would not be a full new title, but instead an updated version of the game.
This came with the news that they had put all their focus into the launch of the next-generation version of the game to release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
The official eFootball PES 2021 Season Update website has gone live, with a number of details regarding the release.
Owners of PES 2020 or PES 2020 Lite will get a 20% discount on the release, while the Standard Edition and Club Edition will be available at a special price.
Detailing the Season Update, Konami stated, "The eFootball PES 2021 Season Update brings you all of the critically acclaimed features that won us E3 2019's 'Best Sports Game' award, plus more!
"As the PES franchise celebrates a quarter of a century since its debut in 1995, we invite you to join us once again as we head out onto the pitch for a new action-packed season of football.

"Boasting all the latest player and club data, the game also comes with an exclusive UEFA EURO 2020™ mode, allowing you and your friends to simulate some of the sport's most heated rivalries."
Eurogamer report that PES 2021 will be available at around half the price of the usual selling price, and although it is not a full new game, it will be available both in physical form and as a digital download. The Club Editions will cost slightly more.
