Far Cry, one of Ubisoft's most popular franchises, suffered a leak on the Hong Kong version of the PlayStation Store, and hours later the company went on to post an official teaser.
In the listing on the PlayStation Store, the description of the game is as follows, according to Polygon, "Welcome to Yara, a tropical paradise frozen in time. As the dictator of Yara, Anton Castillo is intent on restoring his nation back to its former glory by any means, with his son, Diego, following in his bloody footsteps. Their ruthless oppression has ignited a revolution."
The site reports that players will take on the role of Dani Rojas, who is on a mission to liberate the nation, and goes head-to-head with Castillo in what is described as Far Cry's "largest playground to date" and spans across beaches, jungles and the capital city.
Indications are that the game will launch for PS4 and PS5, and that players who purchase the current generation version will get the PS5 upgrade of Far Cry 6 for free.
