Young Africans have shown interest in one of Mamelodi Sundowns' forwards, aiming to secure his signature before the current transfer window closes, the Siya crew has been informed.
Siya sources have indicated that the Tanzanian side has inquired about Ethiopian international Abubeker Nasir with the intention of signing him.

Insiders at Chloorkop added that Sundowns are open to letting Nasir go, whether on loan or permanently, as long as the offer is favourable.
"Yes, there were other local clubs which were interested in him last season but they have been quiet now and the team that has inquired about him is the Tanzanian side, Young Africans (Yanga SC)," said the Siya source.
"There is nothing that has been concluded yet, as for now it's just an inquiry but with a lot of interest. So, we have to wait as to what will happen before the window period can close," the source added.

A second insider stated that Nasir is not believed to be in Sundowns' plans, and they are looking at a potential deal that could see him leave Chloorkop.
"The only thing which is the main one that is delaying the team to release him is the money issue. He still has a contract with the club and if they are to release him on mutual agreement they have to pay him and that's what both parties are working at so if a team like Yanga can meet Sundowns halfway then it could be much better for both the club and the player. So, now they are waiting on Yanga as they have inquired about him," the second source stated.
Soccer Laduma contacted Yanga for comment, but no response was received at the time of preparing this story.
