Chiefs Monitoring Royal AM's Situation For Their Keeper?

Chiefs Monitoring Royal AM's Situation For Their Keeper?

The Siya sources added that Amakhosi are seeking to strengthen their goalkeeping department and are considering Ngcobo as a potential addition to their squad, not necessarily as a first choice stopper.

"There were other teams that had also shown interest before but the one that has inquired about him in recent times after what is happening at the club is Kaizer Chiefs. They have shown serious interest and have inquired. But with the current situation at Royal AM there is nothing much we can say. I think they will wait on what is going to happen first as they monitor the situation. But they are interested in him," the Siya source stated.

Orlando Pirates were linked with Ngcobo before the current season, as reported by Soccer Laduma last year

Additionally, a second insider close to Chiefs, stated that Amakhosi are also considering other goalkeeping options, including Chippa United's Stanley Nwabali and former Sekhukhune United player Toaster Nsabata who is currently at Zesco United in his home country, Zambia.

"They will see which one they can get at the end of the day as they are also believed to be looking at loaning out one or two of their current goalkeepers to create space. But that will only happen when they get in one of these goalkeepers at the start of next season," the second insider stated.

Currently, Chiefs have four goalkeepers on their roster: Bruce Bvuma, Brandon Petersen, Fiacre Ntwari, and Bontle Molefe. The 31-year-old Ngcobo has played many league games for Royal AM this season. The team is currently inactive due to their financial issues and are awaiting a ruling as to whether they can return to the pitch.

Soccer Laduma reached out to Chiefs for comment on the situation but received no response at the time of publishing.
