After being linked with a few clubs since the end of the 2022/23 season, Washington Arubi has found a new home after parting ways with Marumo Gallants.
The goalkeeper has been linked with Sekhukhune United and Royal AM among other clubs but the Siya crew has learnt that the 37-year-old has re-joined SuperSport United, having previously been with the club from 2018 to 2020.

Arubi was one of the key players for Gallants in their impressive CAF Confederation Cup campaign this past season although the Limpopo outfit ended up being relegated from the DStv Premiership at the end of the season.

"Washington Arubi has re-joined SuperSport United. It's a done deal. He has signed a one-year contract with an option to extend for another year. He is excited about the deal because he can now focus on playing football after there was some confusion on where he would be for the new season. Everything has now been sorted," said the source.
