The sources added that the offer on the table for the new contract is a two-year deal with a one-year option, effectively covering three years.
"It's not done yet but I don't know what would stop it. The new deal is in the pipeline. Actually it's more or less like a three-year deal though it is two years straight plus a one-year option that Pirates have proposed to him," said the Siya source.
"He has been of great service to the club and that's why they want to keep him for a longer time. His experience is vital to the club and they want to reward him with that new deal," the source added.

A second insider stated that despite his long-term injury, the club still regards him very highly in their defensive department.
"The injury hasn't disturbed their plans to renew his contract. They know what he is capable of doing and that's why they still want to keep him. The club is happy with him and they are making sure that they keep him. So, yes, a new contract for Xoki is in the pipeline at Pirates," the second source stated.
As Bucs work to potentially secure Xoki's future at the club, a proposed new contract highlights their confidence in his abilities and contributions. Fans will be eager to see the experienced defender continue to play a key role for the team in the coming years.
