The 25-year-old made a staggering 29 starts in the league, having missed only one match in April against Cape Town City.
With his contribution along with his teammates at Rise and Shine, Matuludi helped the Limpopo outfit to an eighth-place finish in the club's return to the top flight following their promotion at the end of last season.
Three months ago, it was reported by the Siya crew that Pirates had identified Matuludi as a potential transfer target, with a view of signing him for the 2024/25 season.
With the Soweto giants on course to finalising their squad for next season, having already parted ways with six players since the season ended, sources have indicated that Matuludi remains a target for the club.
In recent times, Bucs have had right-back as one of the worrisome positions in the squad due to injuries.
While Bandile Shandu, who has been a long-term absentee from the line-ups due to injury is understood to be making his way back, indications are that Bucs won't stop assessing their options to beef up the squad.
