Sekhukhune United are not yet done with strengthening their team for the upcoming season.
Following the capture of goalkeeper Renaldo Leaner from relegated Maritzburg United and ex-SuperSport United midfielder Jamie Webber, the club is, according to sources, on the verge of securing the signature of sought-after defensive midfielder Lehlohonolo Mtshali.
They might have pushed hard enough to beat Orlando Pirates to his signature.
Having been groomed by Bucs, Mtshali really blossomed while with All Stars, who recently sold their Motsepe Foundation Championship status to Black Leopards. And following stand-out performances for All Stars, Pirates monitored the player with a view to luring him to their Houghton base when the season ended.
But it seems like they either have to break the bank or throw in the towel if they still harbour ambitions of re-signing their product as Babina Noko are in pole position for his signature.
