Mamelodi Sundowns' Brazilian forward Lucas Ribeiro Costa has once again attracted European interest, the Siya crew has been informed.
Insiders close to the club and the player have indicated that an unnamed Belgian side has made inquiries about the former SK Beveren striker.

The source added that the Belgian team, which is looking at bringing the 'second striker' back to the same European nation, had known Costa during his days in Belgium and has been monitoring his performances since he moved to Sundowns last season.
"With the interest from Belgium, it seems Sundowns will do all they can to keep him. Teams that saw him playing for Beveren are some of the teams interested in him. It's still at an early stage to say which team has inquired about him in Belgium but there is one club in Belgium that is believed to have sent their scouts and representatives to South Africa to observe and monitor his progress. They are happy with his performances and they would like to have him sooner than later," the Siya source stated.
However, a second insider stated how Sundowns won't let him go cheaply as he is one of their most prized assets.
"Yes, the interest is there from a Belgian club but Sundowns won't make it easy. They still have a long term contract with him which ends in June 2028 and to get him, any club should be prepared to pay a hefty transfer fee," warned the second insider.

"And you know, Sundowns' players don't come cheap because they also don't buy them cheap. So, it will depend on the Belgian club if they can afford to buy him," the source added.
The 26-year-old Brazilian has been a revelation since joining Masandawana last season, where he is scoring consistently.
This season, in five games, Costa has already netted four goals and is the current leading goal scorer in the Betway Premiership along with Evidence Makgopa of Orlando Pirates.
As European interest in Costa grows, Sundowns face a challenging decision regarding their star forward. With impressive performances and a long-term contract, as Costa keeps impressing in South Africa, fans will wonder how this situation will unfold in future.
