As previously reported by the Siya crew, Kaizer Chiefs defender Njabulo Ngcobo's future was uncertain.
Siya sources have now indicated that the club has potentially reached a decision regarding the defender.

A reliable Siya source close to the club has informed the crew that management and the technical team could agree to keep the former Defender of the Season until June 2024 when his contract expires.
The source added that new head coach Molefi Ntseki could have asked that the former Swallows FC defender can receive another chance to prove himself at Naturena.
"The team wanted to cut their salary bill by releasing other players and pay them off while they wanted to loan or sell others," said the Siya source.
"So, as for Njabulo (Ngcobo) they wanted to sell him like they did with Siya (Siyabonga Ngezana) and they feel that now they have to give him another chance to compete with other central defenders or even defensive midfielders where he has played for some games," the source said.
Another source told the Siya crew that if they can still find a buyer who is interested in him then they will listen to offers.
"The main aim is to see him finish his contract at the club. It ends in June next year but it's obvious if a team or when a team comes in for him then the team won't stand in his way," said the Siya source.
"So, for now he is apparently staying with the team. He will be given the chance to fight for his place.
"Which is fair, I think, because the team has lost three central defenders in (Eric) Mathoho, (Austin) Dube and (Siyabonga) Ngezana.
"So, I think it's fair that he stays for now," the source added.
The Siya crew contacted Chiefs for comment but the club did not respond while preparing this story.
