Despite his previous contractual dispute, Tunisian side Esperance's Bafana Bafana winger Elias Mokwana continues to draw interest from European clubs, the Siya crew has been informed.
As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, French Ligue 1 club Montpellier FC have been tracking Mokwana's progress. Siya sources have now indicated that a Dutch club has also shown interest in the talented winger.

Sources close to Mokwana added that teams are closely watching Mokwana's performances and expressing interest in acquiring his services.
"You know why Esperance are holding onto Elias is because they know they will benefit heavily when he moves to Europe and after French Ligue 1 side Montpellier FC showed interested then more teams have been monitoring him and now he is wanted by a team in Holland. It's a team in the top league in Holland and they are one of the big teams. But you know, with the issues between Sekhukhune United and Esperance things are moving slow for now but they have already sent their scouts and recruiters to Tunisia whenever Esperance are playing and they have expressed their happiness in the player," the Siya source stated.
A second insider disclosed that Sekhukhune United are thought to be striving to secure its own financial interest before any European transfer materializes. They also know that 10% of any potential future transfer fee is due to them when Mokwana moves to another club.

"It's good for Sekhukhune if there is interest in Europe because in their sale agreement for Elias (Mokwana) to Esperance, (it was established) that they will get at least 10% from the player's move to Europe or any other team. Sekhukhune and Esperance are also (supposed) to keep the end of the contract and agreement which will maintain the clause in the initial contract for Sekhukhune United to benefit as well. So, with the new interest from Holland, that dream for them to benefit from the sale is becoming closer and closer at the end of the day," the second source observed.
Mokwana has impressed since his move to Tunisia at the start of the season, becoming a regular for Bafana Bafana and scoring goals in Tunisia's top flight league matches. He has also positively impacted his team in the CAF Champions League.
As Mokwana continues to shine, the interest from European clubs underscores his rising profile and potential impact in top leagues.
