Saile Linked With Zambian Club, Could He Be Replaced By Morris?

Saile Linked With Zambian Club, Could He Be Replaced By Morris?

Nchanga Rangers, the former club of Congolese striker Christian Saile, has emerged as a key contender in the race to secure his signature during the January transfer window.

Despite not making a significant impact at Kaizer Chiefs, Saile remains a sought-after player, with several clubs expressing interest in acquiring him.

While Chippa United and SuperSport United's interest was previously reported by the Siya crew, Nchanga Rangers are now believed to have joined the fray as one of the main clubs bidding for Saile in this transfer period.

Insiders at Amakhosi have added that the club is primarily considering offers that involve a permanent transfer before exploring any loan deal options. The sources close to the club have stated that although interest in Saile is growing, only three clubs are thought to have approached Chiefs for his services.

"As much as Chiefs want to let Saile go, they are looking at all the offers from the teams that are interested in him. You know he is still contracted to the club until June 2026 so whether they want him on loan or permanently they have to agree to the move with Chiefs and look at the one which makes business sense to all the clubs involved. So, although at the moment there are three teams which are serious about his services, Chiefs are looking at the one which fits their needs as well," the Siya source stated.

According to a second insider, the three clubs currently vying for Saile are Nchanga Rangers, Chippa United, and SuperSport United, backing up previous reports on Soccer Laduma.

"SuperSport were the first ones together with AmaZulu but now it's them, Nchanga and Chippa, and it's really tight. But it will also depend on him as a player what he wants. And where he wants to go and play. He has a choice in this case there are multiple teams interested in him. However Chiefs will have a say at the end of the day. The deal could happen during this January transfer window, whether it happens on loan or permanently, it will all depend on the talks," the second source told the Siya crew.

To date, the 25-year-old Congolese striker has played a few league games for Chiefs without convincing various coaches that he should be a regular. Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs for comment but received no response at the time of publishing.

With Saile potentially nearing a departure from Chiefs, the club is believed to have already anticipated to be lining up his replacement. The Glamour Boys have discreetly initiated negotiations with SuperSport United for the services of a new player, Tashreeq Morris, according to local reports.

Chiefs have been actively seeking a forward to strengthen their squad, with coach Nasreddine Nabi acknowledging that current strikers Ranga Chivaviro and Ashley du Preez require support. Soccer Laduma has previously linked Chiefs to the likes of Fiston Mayele and Michael Olunga.

According to the SABC, it is Morris who will commence training with Chiefs, and could sign pending a successful medical examination. It is therefore possible that Morris' potential move to Amakhosi could see Saile going to SuperSport, moves that could benefit both teams, as the PSL club could be moving ahead of Nchanga Rangers to seal the deal.
