Zungu according to HesSport, has obtained his international Visa and will continue talks with Wydad over a deal, though its understood that the player would have to alter his personal demands, which were the reason initial talks broke down in the first place.
The former Amiens man has been without a club for the last three months, after his contract with Mamelodi Sundowns was now renewed at the end of the 2023/24 season.
He featured 30 times in all competitions for the Brazilians last season and set up three assists.
With Mokwena's Wydad side enduring a slow start to the season, he will be hoping the experience of Zungu could provide them with much-needed stability in the middle of the park for the Moroccan giants to turn the tide.
