Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca have officially unveiled former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena as their mentor for the upcoming season.
Not long after parting ways with DStv Premiership champions Sundowns, Mokwena has found himself a job that has no less pressure than the one he occupied until recently in the PSL.
Mokwena has signed a three-year deal with the club and is expected to join with his own technical team.

Wydad had a difficult season, finishing sixth in the Morocco Botola Pro, as they failed to qualify for the CAF Champions League, which is a big disappointment for the club.
They have put their trust in Mokwena, who won four league titles with Sundowns, two as co-coach with Manqoba Mngqithi, and another two as the sole head coach of the Tshwane giants.

Mokwena is looking for his first Champions League title as a coach and will definitely have that as a target. Wydad are also set to play in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and Mokwena will certainly be looking forward to that, with Sundowns also set to take part in the competition.
