Reports emerging from Egypt suggest that Al Ahly have made a final decision on the future of Percy Tau, whose contract with the club expires in June 2025.
The 2024/25 season will be Tau's last at Al Ahly.
That is according to Cairo24, who revealed that Al Ahly have decided against renewing Tau's contract due to the player's age, his declining performances and his high salary demands.

The club is also reported to be looking at a younger foreign player to fill Tau's place according to popular media figure Mohamed El-Leithy.
The news comes as very little surprise given that Tau's future at the club has been under constant threat.
Initially it was reported that the relationship between Tau and head coach Marcel Kohler broke down, and that the player was adamant on receiving his full salary if he were to leave the club.
Despite the off-field drama, Tau has managed an impressive 10 trophies in three years with the Egyptian giants, having joined them from Brighton and Hove Albion in 2021.
