"It's a very long process of coaches applying for the role. But FIFA is always looking for coach educators, former national team coaches, former technical directors, people who have worked and served in different countries as well. Because obviously to be embedded in a new culture and a new country is not an easy assignment. You have to be rounded in terms of human resource skills, and in terms of understanding different perspectives, playing philosophies from country to country," Senong told the Siya crew.

This after the coach recently landed a role at FIFA where he will serve as a Talent Coach, stationed in Malawi as part of Wenger's Technical Development Scheme.

The 44-year-old shared his delight after being chosen from a handful of coaches over a five-month period from March to August, but is looking forward to sharing his knowledge with the Malawian Football Association.

"So, I was very humbled to also be selected from such a big pool of quality coaches around the world and I'm looking forward to learn a lot from the program. It's a very good project. It's about developing football players and coaches, helping the federation to reach its potential. So, I'm looking forward to serve and I'm looking forward to add a lot of value," he continued.
