Blom joined the MLS newcomers in 2023 and enjoyed a stellar maiden campaign with the club, despite a slow start caused by his adaptation period into his new environment.
He made a total of 30 appearances in his first season with the club, scoring one goal and registering one assist.
In the current campaign, Blom has featured 17 times in all competitions, though he recently served a one-match suspension for violating club rules - he has since been reinstated to the team.
With his contract running down, it would be a natural progression for the club to exercise the two-year option they have on his contract, given the early impact he's had at the club.
However, with Bradley Carnell, the man who brought Blom to the club having parted ways with the club, he's had to prove himself under new coach John Hackworth who has taken over on an interim basis.
Blom's current contract comes to and end on 31 December, though the club can keep him until December 2026.
