Royal AM are set to be expelled from the Premier Soccer League.
The KwaZulu-Natal club have been taken over by the curator of the South African Revenue Services (SARS) to recover the R40million in tax owed by owner Shauwn Mkhize.

It was widely reported that Durban-based businessman Roy Moodley was set to become the new Royal AM, but the purchase did not go through due to the required payment not being made within the time period.
Since then, the club has been put back on the market but it seems KZN outfit's time in the PSL will be coming to an end.
In a leaked document doing the rounds of social media, the Premier Soccer League executive committee have now recommended that Royal AM's membership be cancelled.

As a result, the Betway Premiership season is set conclude with 15 teams rather than 16, as the Siya crew reported earlier this week, with the team finishing in 15th position going to the play-offs.
Royal AM have only played 11 games in the Premiership this season, with their last clash taking place on 29 December against TS Galaxy.
