A decision has been made on a talented Orlando Pirates young star for the 2023/24 season as the new campaign is drawing closer to a start.
After spending the 2022/23 season with Chippa United on loan, Azola Matrose reported for pre-season at Pirates and had been in both camps in Rustenburg and Spain respectively under the watchful eye of head coach Jose Riveiro and his technical team.

Last month, Pirates confirmed that Matrose along with Thabiso Sesane were being assessed by the coach and his technical team.
It has since been confirmed by Chippa that the 20-year-old won't be with the team for the new season and indications are that he will be going to the Buccaneers to compete for his place in the star-studded squad.

The Chilli Boys took to social media to post a video of Matrose in Pirates' colours and saying his goodbyes to his former teammates at the Gqeberha-based outfit.
"We bid farewell to our esteemed Azola Matrose, who has brought great pride to our province. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours," the Chilli Boys confirmed on the club's official Twitter account.
