With Tshegofatso Mabasa out through suspension this weekend, Orlando Pirates supporters could see Boitumelo Radiopane spending more time on the pitch in the final match of 2024.
Mabasa picked up a fourth yellow card in the 8-1 victory over Marumo Gallants a day before Christmas and will miss this weekend's clash against rookies Magesi FC, a side that upset the Buccaneers in the last 16 of the Carling Knockout not so long ago.

The absence of Mabasa means there is an opportunity for someone else to step up and do the job and Radiopane could get the nod. He would no doubt be high in confidence after stepping up to net the eighth goal from the penalty spot against Gallants a few days ago.
Radiopane, who was out on loan to Cape Town Spurs for the previous two campaigns, has been waiting patiently for an opportunity and there is a possibility that head coach Jose Riveiro could put his trust in the Bucs youth product.
Riveiro has given opportunities to young players to showcase their talent in the first team and he would certainly not be afraid to give Radiopane a start against struggling Magesi, who parted ways with head coach Clinton Larsen recently.

Radiopane showed a lot of promise during his days in the Diski Challenge with the Buccaneers and his next challenge is making sure that he rediscovers his scoring touch in front of goal.
