Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Sandile Ndlovu has lauded Royal AM for signing Ricardo Nascimento and predicts their journey in the Nedbank Cup.
The KZN outfit made a shocking move to sign Nascimento, whose time at Masandawana came to an end on Monday and made the move to league rookies, Royal AM.
The top-flight rookies have made their presence known, bolstering the side with the acquisitions of Thabo Matlaba, Mxolisi Macuphu, Marlon Huegh and Shaun Mogaila. Despite the clear-out, Royal have managed to hold onto Bafana Bafana striker Victor Letsoalo.
Ndlovu feels MaMkhize has made her intentions clear about changing the image of the Zulu Kingdom football and praised the club for signing the Nascimento.
"It a very good signing and that boy will be able to stabilize their defence, this signing shows the intention of Royal AM in top-flight football," Ndlovu told the Siya crew.
The other KZN teams have already been knocked out of the Nedbank Cup, and Ndlovu is confident that Thwihli Thwahla can go all the way, starting against Cape Town City this Saturday.
"They are definitely our last hope in the Nedbank Cup, even though they playing against a serial winner in Eric Tinkler. I don't think they will struggle, they have good squad and have done so well this season. If they can keep the same perfomances, they can go all the way."
