'We Can Cause Sundowns Problems'

Mamelodi Sundowns currently have the advantage after the first leg, but Dean Furman is confident SuperSport United can get the job done in the second leg.

The first leg ended 1-1 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium after Thamsanqa Gabuza saw his goal cancelled out by Gaston Sirino.

Furman is confident his side can cause the Brazilians problems in the second leg after the international break.

"It's always [difficult] playing against Sundowns. It was an entertaining game. We just switched off for 30 seconds and you do that against Sundowns you get punished," Furman told SuperSport after the game.   "We're disappointed to let in an away goal but a draw was a fair result. No one really has the home advantage, although they have that away goal which may swing [the second-leg] in their favour.   "We come back here in two weeks' time feeling we can win the game. We think on back of this performance, a renewed SuperSport, we can cause Sundowns problems, if we are switched on at the back for 89 minutes of the game I think we can go through to the final."   The Bafana Bafana midfielder went on to say that they have been solid at the back since lost their first game of the season 2-0 against Sundowns and if they keep improving at the back, they'll stand a good chance of reaching the final from the second-leg encounter.   "That has been key in our recent success. We've worked with the coach on our setup, about how we play, how we press. If you get it wrong against Sundowns they'll punish you. We got it wrong for a split second and they punished us. That's something we've been working very hard on. It's showing on the pitch. We want to go to the final, so we're looking forward to that game," he said.
