Vladimir Vermezovic Delighted With Pirates' Defence

Orlando Pirates coach, Vladimir Vermezovic, believes his side coped well with Bidvest Wits' aerial threat. Pirates were pinned back in their half for the majority of the game, and managed to score three wonderful goals in the second half but the Serbian boss was delighted with his defence. "It was a very difficult 45 minutes to defend against their long balls," Vermezovic said after the game. "Thanks to our defence, they made a couple mistakes, but it's normal, they won a lot of aerial challenges and in the second half after the first goal it was much easier." "I told the players if we score firts the game would be over, if they (Wits) score first we are in trouble, but fortunately we scored first and thanks to our guys we are in the final again, but now it's time to get points in the PSL." Despite Lehlohonolo Majoro's brace, VV confirmed that Kermit Erasmus is still the side's number one striker. He added: "Majoro's quality, there is no doubt, Kermit is still our first choice striker and I would always like to put Majoro on the second half if he scores two goals."
