Kaizer Chiefs defender, Tsepo Masilela, says the club's current winning streak will count for nothing when they take on Orlando Pirates in the MTN8 final this weekend.
The Amakhosi currently find themselves on an 11-game winning run that goes back to last season, but will have a tough task on their hands against their bitter rivals on Saturday evening.
While both Chiefs and Pirates are currently in-form, Masilela says that he's hoping there will be goals in the game, admitting that Kermit Erasmus and Lehlohonolo Majoro are not the Buccaneers' only threats.
Speaking to the media, the full-back said, "Preparations are going as usual, just like any other game, but we know that it's a derby, a cup final, and we want to win. We'll see how it goes.
"Hopefully it's going to be a cracker, both teams are doing well, we're both on form, and I'm hoping that we'll see goals.
"Both Kermit and Major are quality strikers, but they're not Pirates' only options. We also have our own attack and we're going to carry on working on our game."
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old also added that he's happy with his own performances up to now, and isn't worried that the majority of his side's goals are coming from the midfield. He said, "It's not a concern (that strikers aren't scoring) as long as we're still winning games and getting three points, if that's happening then we're happy.
"I can always improve, but I'm happy with how it's going. It's still early days, there's lots of games to be played but I am happy up to now.
"Past performances and results don't matter. It's a new game and has a new life, our unbeaten record doesn't count for anything, on Saturday there has to be a winner. I hope there's goals in normal time and that it doesn't go to extra time and penalties."
