The Bafana Bafana international, who has bagged two Man of the Match awards already this season, was speaking ahead of Chiefs' MTN8 second leg semi-final against Platinum Stars on Sunday (August 24).
The Glamour Boys hold a 2-0 first leg lead and would appear to be favourites to advance to the final of this competition.
Masilela explained why the club's winning streak as well as competition for places was helping to create a strong mentality.
He told the club's official website, "We are winning our games and a win in any event shoots the confidence sky high. The mood in the camp is high and everyone is fired up. All the players want the opportunity to play, but the good thing is the players that are waiting on the side bring positive energy in the team."

The defender added, "Competition comes as standard at Chiefs. We know what is expected from us. Before even the coach mentioned the issue of competition, when a player signs for Chiefs, you know what is expected of you. And, we are determined to deliver the goods."
Sunday's action gets underway from 15h00 at FNB Stadium.
